Emerging Practices in Music Education

As one of our first tasks of the semester, this assignment required us to outline our learning goals regarding which ensemble or groups we would like to be a part of, exposure to new musical styles or genres, and engagement with high-quality musical experiences in our preferred location.

Here is a snapshot of the Learning Journal we had as we learned from various teachers specializing in different musical genres.​

In this task, we were assigned to highlight our genre of choice (Irish Folk Traditional) and bring light to its origins, history, and style. Click the photo to see our performance as well as assessment reviews with other performances.
